Sold as a set of 2 rings for R30 - one smaller and one larger.
A simple but incredibly useful addition to any aquarium. These lightweight Foam Feeding Rings have two very practical uses:
- keeping floating food contained in one area
- keeping floating plants where you want them
By keeping food in one spot, they make feeding easier and help prevent food from drifting around the tank and getting stuck in plants. This can also reduce leftover food reaching snails, which may contribute to increasing snail populations.
They’re particularly useful for floating plants such as Red Root Floaters. In tanks with strong flow, floaters do best when kept in a calmer area, away from strong currents and bubbles. Bubbles can leave water sitting on the leaves, which floating plants generally don’t appreciate.
I particularly like these in black, as they blend into the aquarium much better than brighter colours like blue or green and are far less noticeable.
A personal note: I use these in all my own tanks and have found them absolutely indispensable. Once you start using them, you’ll wonder how you managed without them!
