Make use of unused corner space while giving your fish a secure place to rest and hide. I was pleasantly surprised by how much my Corydoras enjoyed this Corner tunnel —they spend a lot of time relaxing underneath it, where they feel safe and sheltered. Shrimp will also love it as a secure place to hide and graze on biofilm.
During my testing, I found that some of this sand gradually falls into the tunnel, reducing the space underneath. After a while, you'll need to lift the tunnel, remove the accumulated sand, and reposition it. This isn't something that needs doing often, but occasional maintenance will keep the tunnel working at its best.
For the most natural look, I recommend choosing a substrate that closely matches the colour of the tunnel.
