Guppy Grass (Najas guadalupensis)

Size: A generous, full cup-sized helping with multiple stems - not a small cutting.

I love Guppy Grass! It is one of the easiest and most useful aquarium plants to keep. It's fine roots can be planted into substrate if you wish, or simply let it float and it will grow quickly.  It will provide excellent cover for fry, shrimp, and small fish while still allowing light to reach rooted plants below. Unlike many floating plants that can block out all the light, Guppy Grass creates a natural, open cover that helps fish feel secure without darkening the tank. It is also very easy to manage, as pieces can simply be trimmed or removed to control growth. As an added bonus, it helps absorb excess nutrients and improves water quality, making it a perfect choice for breeding tanks and heavily stocked tanks. I highly recommend giving Guppy Grass a try — it’s an easy, practical plant that offers excellent cover for fry and shrimp while helping to maintain a healthier aquarium environment.
