Celestial Pearl Danios, also known as CPDs, are stunning nano fish reaching only 2–2.5cm in size. My CPDs are healthy and well-grown with great colour - never the tiny, skinny, fresh-import stock with weakened immune systems you will often find in many shops.

Water Conditions:
• Temperature: 21–26°C
• pH: 6.5–7.5
• Hardness: Soft to moderately hard (GH 1–5)
• Minimum tank size: 40 L
• Environment: Dense plant growth and hiding spaces are essential

Diet:
CPDs have very small mouths and require fine foods like:
• Hikari Plankton
• Crushed soldier fly larvae
• Crushed Dennerle Discus Soft
• Baby brine shrimp
Feed twice daily in small amounts.

Additional Information:

  • Best kept in groups of 8 or more to encourage natural behaviour.
  • Males may fight for dominance; without hiding places, weaker males can be injured or killed.
  • An aquascape with both plants and hardscape will bring out their beauty and prevent aggression and stress.
