They need tropical temperatures: 22–28°C.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey are \u003cstrong\u003eexcellent dither fish,\u003c\/strong\u003e helping shy species such as bristlenose plecos, corydoras, and other timid tank mates feel more confident and active. One of their most charming traits is how interactive they are; they \u003cstrong\u003equickly learn to recognize you \u003c\/strong\u003eand will eagerly gather at the glass, especially at feeding time, rushing excitedly for food. It’s a species I feel is still \u003cstrong\u003egreatly underrated\u003c\/strong\u003e, and many hobbyists are missing out on one of the most enjoyable and rewarding little fish to keep.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003eWhat makes them even more fascinating is the fact that Daisy’s Blue Rice Fish are \u003cstrong\u003esexually dimorphic \u003c\/strong\u003e(meaning males and females look noticeably different), making them both fascinating and easy to observe. Adult females can often be seen carrying a visible cluster of eggs in the mornings before carefully depositing them among plants or spawning mops.
